Rev. Pauline Peifer

Pauline and her late husband, Dale Allison, ministered together for 25 years in churches in PA, OH, and Calgary, Alberta. After his untimely death she pursued her nursing profession in healthcare administration. She served as Executive Director at Brookline Retirement Community for 14 years. God led Pauline to leave healthcare and prepare for the ministry. She was ordained in 2007.

She assisted in New Harvest Church Plant, served for 8 ½ years at The Grantham Church as associate pastor, and

then served the general church as the first Brethren in Christ woman bishop. She served on the Board of Directors for Wesleyan Holiness Women Clergy and Messiah Lifeways. She is currently the director of Awaken, a network for BIC women in ministry. She is married to Elvin Peifer, retired CEO of the Brethren in Christ Foundation.

Rev. Christine Embree

Christina Embree is wife to Pastor Luke, mom to three wonderful kids, and church planter at Plowshares BIC. She also serves as the Minister of Generational Discipleship with the Great Lakes Conference of the Brethren in Christ.

With over a decade of experience in family ministry and children’s ministry, she is passionate about seeing churches partnering with families to encourage faith formation at home and equipping parents and in Ministry with a focus on Spiritual Formation.

An avid writer, she blogs at www.refocusministry.org and is a contributing blogger at D6 Family, ChurchLeaders.com, and Seedbed. Her favorite activities are cooking, hiking, and traveling; her highlight of 2020 was the epic Embree family road trip across the country last July!

Rev. William M. Beachy, Ph.D.

Bill has been helping people grow and develop in their faith journey, interpersonal relationships, vocational calling and everyday life for over 40 years as pastor in the local church as well as teaching in higher education. He provides coaching and consultation to many leaders and organizations in the areas of strengths development, conflict management, leadership skills, high performing team development, strategic planning, team accountability, relational intelligence and spiritual direction. He is one of a handful of

protestants holding a Ph.D. in Spiritual Formation. In addition, he has also received extensive training in a variety of leadership and organizational assessments that provide the foundation for more evidence-based work.

Bill currently serves as Associate Professor of Pastoral Leadership and Spiritual Formation for Ashland Theological Seminary, teaching classes in Theology, Church History, Leadership, Preaching and Spiritual Formation. In addition, he is the project leader for the “Thriving in Church Ministry” initiative at the seminary, that is underwritten by a grant from the Lilly Endowment.

Rev. Jon Hand

Hi Great Lakes Conference. I’m Jon Hand. I live in Southern Ontario Canada with my wife Aimee and our three teenage children. We moved from Pennsylvania almost 6 years ago where I was Lead Pastor of a church plant with the Susquehanna Conference of the Brethren in Christ Church. We moved to Canada to work in a denominational role with BIC Canada and after a few years joined the staff team at The Meeting House Church. I am currently the Pastor of Leader Formation and serve on the Leadership Team with Jesus Collective—a Jesus-centered Anabaptist network—where I give shape to our network and oversight to our equipping environments. I am also on staff at The Meeting House Church in

Toronto as the Leadership Development Pastor. I’m a seasoned pastoral leadership coach and co-founder of Transformational Coaching, a training experience in coaching skills for Christian Leaders. I wake up every day with the purpose to inspire, challenge, and equip leaders to lead out of their own transformation.
