Making bread can be a spiritual practice. Come join Pastor Krista Dutt from your own kitchen. We will learn how to make some bread and how bread can speak volumes about God’s creation of us. We will be making a Yeast Bread and Banana Bread – feel free to come and just listen or bake along with Krista. Kids welcome!
Please have the following available

1/3 c butter
2-3 bananas, the darker the better
1 tsp soda
salt
¾ c of sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1 ½ c flour

5-6 cups of flour
1 tbsp of yeast, or 3 packets of yeast
2 Tbsp of sugar
1 Tbsp of salt
2 Cups of hot water

Krista is pastor of The Dwelling Place in Chicago, IL. This unique church provides transportation to a church comprised of families whose loved ones are incarcerated. Her Aunt Vick taught her how to make bread in 4th grade and made sure she practiced often. Recently, breadmaking has become a really important part of her pandemic self-care.

Krista and her husband, Jim, live in Chicago and have one child; an active and adorable 8 year old boy.
